RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop ETL processes and data structures in SSIS/SQL Server for the data warehouse following best practice procedures (e.g. Auditing, delta load, insert else update logic, Error logging)
Understand business requirements and derive technical requirements, develop, document and implement solution design
Gather and translate business requirements, convert into technical specification (e.g. mapping)
Perform data modeling based on the business/reporting requirements
Create and maintain ETL process related documents (e.g. data lineage, data flow, mapping)
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of experience implementing data warehouse using SSIS, T-SQL, SQL Server
Extensive experience developing ETL packages, jobs using SSIS
Must have architected multiple data warehouse solutions with different data sources (e.g. SQL server, Oracle, XML/JSON/flat/other files, APIs) and advanced ETL features (e.g. data encryption, cache file, merge joins)
Strong skills in SQL (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) and Data model, architecture, ETL processes and tools (e.g. Tool add-ons, adapters)
Expert understanding and experience in designing, building and deploying data solutions in Microsoft stack
Deep knowledge and experience in data management, integration and analytics architecture
