Experience developing microservices using Java SpringBoot

Cloud Computing experience (AWS preferred: e.g. EMR, ECS/EKS, Glue, Lambda, etc.)

Experience in at least one of the following: Streaming technologies (such as Kinesis/Kafka), Snowflake, RDS, IaaC (e.g. Terraform)

Must be willing to work out of the office in Atlanta
Experience with Java based microservices (SpringBoot a plus) Cloud Computing concepts (e.g. Serverless, RDS)

About the Job
R responsible for the analysis, estimation, design, implementation, deployment, management, and daily operations of the key solutions that power the interface. You will be challenged with driving and implementing operational improvements through optimization of system performance, automation, and judicious use of technology that drives data governance, registration, insights, and notification capabilities.

• Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders.
• Work with product leadership to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions (may include requirement gathering).
• Recommend viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt.
• Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems.
• Understand technical architecture and writes software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.
• Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
• Actively participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Working experience in coding within multiple technologies– Java, Python, Javascript/Groovy
• Working experience within cloud environments - AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure (AWS preferred)
• Working experience in the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable microservices
• Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
• Working experience in analysis, design, and programming
• Working experience in unit, functional and integration testing
• Passionate about solving data management and data engineering problems.
• Other desired technology experience but not required – streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar, etc.), Terraform, SpringBoot, Snowflake, BPM tooling (e.g. Collibra)

Responsibilities and duties:

• Identify solutions to customer-problems based on validated insights from the User Research team.
• Experiment to validate ideas using best-practice methods. (moderated, unmoderated research using prototypes of varying fidelity)
• Create final deliverables based on validated hypothesis and deliver to Engineering partners
• Utilize effective Design patterns and usage
• Share the process of validating ideas based on experimentation with partners and peers
• Educate and lead peers and stakeholders on behalf of voice of customer
• Customer focused. You understand their problems and identify and validate solutions
• Experts working in a LEAN UX + AGILE build environment
• Relentless advocates for adherence to design patterns and standards
• Active consumers of user research as a vehicle for the voice of our customers
• Owners of end-to-end product design cycle from problem statement to go-live
• Influencers and storytellers and know how to get partners behind the vision
• Take insights and build accurate problem statements. Gather and validate ideas and solutions from customers and cross-functional peers.
• Validate via rapid experimentation of prototypes and quantifying high-value hypothesis
• Apply and maintain design patterns to ensure consistency across products and platforms
• Deliver validated solutions to engineers and ensure quality final customer-facing product

Requirements:

• Experience working in design teams along with Engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders
• eCommerce and/or Finance industry experience
• Degree in design related HCI or equivalent
• Must be organized, able to act independently and able to switch between projects in a fast-paced and exciting environment
• Strong practitioner in LEAN UX methods
