Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA/ Remote

Duration: 6 months with possible Contract To hire

Description:
- If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a 'sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.

- Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions.

- Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.

- Responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.

- Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.

- Works with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.

- Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.

- Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.

- Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.

- Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.

- Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.

- Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.

- Requires BA/BS degree or technical institute training; 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

- Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support.

General Business Skills:
- BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience: Yes

Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.

- Hands on Java development experience in the Enterprise (Java 8 and higher).

- Hands on Javascript or Typescript development experience.

- Experience using SpringBoot Framework, Microservices and API’s.

- Experience with NodeJS and web technologies such as Angular or ReactJS framework.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab and code build tools Maven, Gradle.

- Experience using CI/CD - Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools – Jenkins, Bamboo

- Experience with NoSQL technologies like MongoDB/Cassandra/Cosmos as well as relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle or MySQL

- Experience with Event-driven/Micro-services architecture for high-availability/distributed systems.

Business Skills:
- The ability to lead the development and requirement gathering sessions

- The ability to design and engineer comprehensive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills required; demonstrated ability to create and present ideas to senior management

- Good communication skills, including the ability to understand and explain complex topics, clearly and concisely communicate/ present analytical data to non-technical audiences all levels of management

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Requirements:
- Requires BA/BS degree or technical institute training;

- 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

- Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support.

Preferences:
- Degree in Computer Science.

- Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS or React.

- Proficiency with server side languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.

- Familiarity with database technologies and supporting languages such as SQL Server, Oracle, Splunk, and MongoDB.

- Knowledge of code versioning and CI/CD tools like BIT Bucket (GIT), Bamboo, Jenkins, and Maven/ Gradle

- Proficiency with server applications like Tomcat, WebSphere, and jBoss

- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection

- Maintain code integrity and organization

- Excellent verbal communication skills.
