The role of Sr. Lead Safety Advisor includes:

Leverage advanced knowledge in the field of safety and risk management to mitigate enterprise risks

Lead and direct safety related projects

Assist in the development of safety policies, programs and protocols

Perform regular trend analyses to identify areas for safety intervention and oversight

Complete Restaurant safety assessments

Work with the Risk Management team to directly support Operators and other key stakeholders including Support Staff, Interim Managers, and Executive General Managers in their safety & risk mitigation effortsThe Sr. Lead Safety Advisor will be involved in midstream and downstream safety initiatives including:

Prepare and provide annual claim analysis/stewardship reports for use with Operators, STC Brands, Company Owned Restaurants and relevant Chick-fil-A departments.

Perform regular loss analyses to identify root cause of specific safety trends.

Identify proper coding for workers’ compensation, general liability and auto liability claim cause codes utilized by the claims third-party administrator to ensure data accuracy and provide guidance to them upon request.

Regularly consult with Operators on specific loss trends to mitigate reoccurrence.

Prepare presentations for restaurant market meetings and participate in such meetings.

Assist in developing/updating restaurant safety best practices as needed.

Assist with preparation for restaurant safety visits and attend as requested.

Review Steritech restaurant safety evaluation (RSE) results annually on an aggregated basis by state to identify trends and ways to mitigate future losses.

Suggest and prepare communication pieces for Operators on safety trends and other best practices.

Research & understand restaurant industry safety regulatory standards and applications.

Provide guidance on safety program development for restaurants entering new markets.

Review OSHA citations, response and restaurant industry regulatory standards and assist Operators (if appropriate), STC Brands and Company-Owned Restaurants on related topics as they arise.

Ensure OSHA program compliance including an annual review and modification recommendations as needed based on evolving regulatory requirements.

Assist with implementation of new safety programs.

Provide periodic safety training to STC Brand Executive General Managers and be the subject matter expert for Interim Managers and Grand Opening Supervisors.

Provide ad hoc assistance/guidance on safety related matters.

Work with other members of the risk management team on other risk initiatives as requested.

Experience in occupational safety

Bachelor’s Degree

7 Years of experience

Risk management and safety designations such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or other relevant designation.

Proficient in verbal and written communication on potentially complex/technical matters.

Restaurant operations experience

Strong interpersonal skills

Delivers proactive and responsive customer service

Proficient in Microsoft and other Risk Management Information Systems
