We're looking for Software Engineers: technology focused people who want to build, craft, and forge quality work that launches business forward. The Chick-fil-A Software Engineering II role will give you the opportunity to grow in a fast-paced dynamic environment solving high-impact problems using code. In the role, you’ll rotate through building various products working with different engineering lead mentors, cultivating skills in a team-oriented environment. You will be expected to be a significant contributor to your team’s product, completing tasks with moderate supervision yet also knowing how and when to ask for help. Here are a few sample rotations which give you a feel for the types of products you might help build:
Enabling our customers to skip the line by building our CFA One app
Automating our restaurants by programming IoT devices for our kitchens
Developing systems to make our restaurants the safest place to eat
Equipping our restaurant Operators with a mobile app for operating their restaurant
Serve as a dependable developer in programming languages like Go, Java, Python, and JavaScript, adept in frameworks like Spring, Flask, Angular, and React
Grow broadly in experience with multiple languages and frameworks or deeply into a subject matter expert in at least one language and framework or other area like computer vision, machine learning, mobile development, quality, SRE, or UI/UX
Learn skills related to AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
Note - Working in a DevOps model, this opportunity includes both building and running solutions that could require off hours support. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights.
Professional programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, or other comparable language
Experience with SQL and data modeling
Experience with source control systems like Git or Subversion
Understanding of application security, software design patterns, and the SDLC
Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Experience with Unix/Linux
