Position: Sr. BI Developer

Duration: Long Term Contract

Location : Atlanta, GA (100% Remote

)

Required Skills
Understands data modeling and data deployment Understanding complex stored procedures SSIS understanding SSAS and calculations MUST HAVE: Azure tabular Power BI (not must have if they have great azure tabular experience) Multi-dimensional platform understanding Experience with MDX expressions

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or 10+ years industry experience • 7+ years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role • 3+ years of Data Analytics and transformation using SSIS and SSAS. • Data engineering concepts (ETL, data warehousing, near-/real-time streaming, data structures, metadata and workflow management) • Programming/scripting in SQL Stored Procedures, advanced query techniques for data validation, SSIS and/or SSAS. • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines • Advanced SQL writing and experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment at an enterprise scale with complex datasets

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of AWS cloud databases (RDS, Red Shift, Aurora, Postgres, etc) • Experience with analytics tools and concepts such as Data warehouses, Data lakes, SSRS, Tableau, and/or PowerBI • Ability to understand complex and disparate data sources, develop BI and analytical content, while operating in a fluid, rapidly changing data environment. • Experience working with global teams across time zones Knowledge of GP organization and business • Strong technical background and solid understanding of infrastructure technologies • Knowledge of reporting and dashboarding tools would be a plus • Good customer service skills/Customer Focus

Job Description
Apex Systems has an opportunity for a SR. BI Developer to work for one of our local clients here in Atlanta, GA.
Applicants must have minimum 7 years of BI development experience and have technical knowledge of Azure Tabular, Power BI, SSIS/SSAS, and SQL.

Required Skills:

Project details:

• Build strong partnership with Business SMEs and work directly with them to analyze requirements, design solutions, and use available data to generate reports and metrics.
• Develop understanding of legacy manufacturing operations and product quality multi-dimensional (SSAS) cubes.
• Develop strategy to redesign analytics ready datasets in Azure Tabular/Power BI and deliver OLAP Cube replacement
