Performs in both a people management capacity and a technical leadership capacity, managing the Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant personnel, also acting as Clinical Consultant when needed. The growth of professional services typically measures performance to meet or exceed revenue budget expectations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operations of the business line. Performs all required management responsibilities, including, but not limited to implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines: ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varian's business; and maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing the immediate organizationCore Responsibilities:Lead, develop and manage the Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant personnel:Grow the efficiency of existing organizational products and processes
Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
Partner across business units to implement and improve proprietary tools and products
Step in and cover for the Clinical Implementation Consultant, as needed for the following responsibilities:Assist customers in developing best practice clinical operations, emphasizing patient-focused outcomes, patient care efficiencies, cost containment/reduction, and customer value propositions.
Technical responsibilities may include evaluating business processes, recommending process changes, process documentation, problem identification, database, and database system configuration, hardware/software specification and/or design, change management, testing recommended strategies, identifying training needs and solution deployment.
Assist in the creation and development of our consultative services
Develop relevant metrics that demonstrate achievement of clinical, operational, and financial values
Actively support product training and implementation through defined implementation processes, access to eLearning, onsite and remote training, and consistent follow-up to ensure adoption and optimal utilization of our solutions/products.
Work as the clinical resource of the Varian project implementation team as an expert in content curation, product configuration, testing, and workflow.
Own workflow current state to future state mapping with associated gap analysis
Drive detailed requirements gathering sessions through on-site and remote analysis and customer interviews
Work with the technical implementation team in translating workflow requirements to actionable technical configuration tasks
Develop and help drive customer-specific user adoption strategies and best practices
Provide onsite support during system Go-Live and immediate post Go-Live periods
Minimum Skills and Knowledge:Product knowledge and ability to translate products and services into solutions
Industry knowledge from a commercial, clinical, and healthcare executive perspective
Organizational acumen/skills
Executive presence and presentation skills
Responsiveness, reliability and problem-solving skills
Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational standards
Minimum Requirements:BSN/BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical operations driving strategic and business planning, financial and operational performance
RN, RT, RTT or CMD with a history of at least 3 years of direct patient care experience, Management and aptitude of standardized guidelines preferred
5+ years combined experience with Oncology setting and Healthcare Technology vendor(s)
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills with a proven track record of collaborative and consensus building
Obtains and completes Varian and SHS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must have knowledge as it relates to quality, performance improvement, change theory, and health systems.
Proven basic IT knowledge, especially as it relates to intraoperability and infrastructure.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only: Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to:Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN)
