Our memory care facility in Smyrna, Georgia is in search of experienced and compassionate CNAs and/or Resident Aides who understand the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has impeccable communication skills and is able to problem solve on the spot. Our CNAs/Resident Aides have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive as they administer care to our residents and we are seeking someone who would be a great fit with our team.
Responsibilities:
-Assist residents with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting to doctors appointments
-Monitor resident medications and update health charts
-Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding resident's medical and emotional condition
-Document and report any changes in resident's health status
-Ensure highest resident safety and well-being
-Any other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications/Skills:
-High school diploma required (college degree preferred)
-Current and valid caregiver certification (If possible)
-Current and valid first aid and CPR certification
-Extensive experience working with the elderly
-Previous experience working with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents
-Impeccable written and oral communication skills
-Experience and knowledge working with patients who have chronic and acute conditions
-Ability to problem solve quickly
-Nursing background an asset
