The Public Relations Assistant will work to support marketing and public relations activities within and outside of the organization including but not limited to creating and maintaining contact lists, promotional plans, social media and research. This vibrant individual will collaborate with a bold and diverse team reporting into Vibrants Founder. Education and experience in public relations and marketing as well as strong written communication skills, attention to detail and project management is key for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform and coordinate work activities for public relations projects including: creating and maintaining spreadsheets and contacts, organizing information and following up on related tasks as directed by the Founder
Participates in assigned projects and supports administrative activities to ensure items are delivered on time and at the highest level of quality possible
Conducts research as directed including: preparation for product launches, promotional events, market competition and other needs as requested
Responsible for managing and updating media materials
Supports public relations projects by providing organization and structure to tasks to assist in meeting all deadlines
Provides written communication to both internal and external contacts while supporting the creation and proofing of communication surrounding public relations activities
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, continually re-prioritize and work efficiently and accurately while remaining flexible based on the changing needs of the business
Qualifications:
Knowledge of social media, broadcast media and print media, along with other mediums used to engage consumers
Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for grammatical errors
Project management experience
Highly organized while able to multitask and to prioritize under pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Cision, Muck Rack or other media database tools
Experience with Mailchimp or other email marketing tools
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and anticipate that there will be last-minute changes
Ability to pinpoint problems and find creative solutions
Strong business acumen
Be a team player
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in a marketing, social media or public relations
At least 1 year of experience in a community management or customer service role
Strong understanding of web publication, social media and other content outlets
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Bachelors degree in Public Relations, English, Journalism, Marketing, or other related field
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
