Atlanta-based regional business banking / private client lending group looking for an experienced Commercial Lending Manager to help originate and manage specialty debt and credit portfolios. Top candidates will have significant experience in business prospecting, and client relationship development. This position focuses on identifying appropriate lending opportunities, soliciting and developing all types of business activity, specializing in corporate commercial healthcare loans. COMMERCIAL LENDING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Originate and assist in the development and maintenance of profitable corporate/commercial banking relationships in healthcare
Establish, develop and maintain an aggressive prospect calling and business site-visit program to determine the scope of potential relationship opportunities and alignment with core values and strategic objectives
Monitors the credit quality of loan and alternative investment portfolios
Produces call reports for client/prospect meetings. Prepares pipeline reports for senior management
Make loan presentations and decision recommendations to senior lenders and/or loan committees
Market loan products, treasury management, investment management, private banking, leasing, wealth management, and trade finance. Originate senior loan commitments from corporate banking prospects through our underwriting teams, while advising them on alternative capital structures
Generate fee income by selling ancillary services such as treasury management, asset management, wealth management and trade finance
Other duties as assigned
COMMERCIAL LENDING MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of direct lending experience with concentration in complex commercial lending
Detail oriented, ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with strong financial and credit analysis skills are essential to this role
Creative problem solving, negotiation and presentation skills
A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain major banking relationships is strongly preferred
