Title: Intelligence Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: Direct Hire

Purpose: Join an existing Intelligence team in support of the company Security Operations Center. The successful applicant will research and produce both standard and innovative intelligence products including high-quality papers, briefings, recommendations, and findings. The target audience for these products includes IT managers, security analysts, device owners, and organizational leadership within the company. You will generate unique intelligence from internal data holdings; review threat intelligence feeds from industry, vendors, and government; provide situational awareness to the company regarding cyber threats including nation-state APTs; and create actionable intelligence in collaboration with our Incident response and Threat Analyst teams.

Highly qualified candidates will possess a professional understanding of nation-state cyber threats and will have previous experience in the private sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate cyber actors with the interest and capability to target company employees, vendors and affiliates
  • Track high priority threats to identify, develop and implement countermeasures on the corporate network and industrial systems
  • Review social media and industry-based threat intelligence feeds and provide situational awareness to the company regarding the gathered intelligence
  • Generate actionable intelligence for leadership and technical staff
  • As a team, publish high-quality whitepapers and intelligence reports
  • Establish and maintain excellent partnerships within cyber security and IT teams
  • Establish and maintain trust relationships with relevant business units
  • Mentor and train junior-level threat analysts
  • Work with external agencies such as DHS, DOE, CISA, FBI, E-ISAC and more to gather and action intelligence
  • Work with similar private companies to gather intelligence
  • Participate in classified government intelligence briefings

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience supporting an operation environment by investigating online threat actors through internal, open-source, government, industry and vendor sources
  • Experience collecting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources for the purpose of providing analytic assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, multi-task, and be comfortable with short delivery deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly, discern patterns of complex threat actor behavior, and communicate this understanding to others
  • Knowledge of emerging computer or online technologies, online social behaviors, and computer or internet slang
  • Demonstrated capability in utilizing standard SOC tools for monitoring, detections, and response
  • Must work independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Must build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal partners
  • Demonstrated passion for understanding the intersection of global cyber security risks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for both technical and executive audiences (writing sample may be requested)
  • Be willing to obtain a US Government Security Clearance

Preferred skills
  • Demonstrated experience as an analyst performing threat monitoring and incident response in an enterprise SOC
  • Familiarity with nation-state, sophisticated criminal, and supply chain threats
  • Knowledge of computer network operations, information operations, and information warfare
  • Substantial knowledge of IT infrastructure and cyber security technologes
  • Experience creating signatures and countermeasures to combat cyber APTs
  • One or more of CISSP, CCIP, GCIH, GCIT, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Cyber Security, International Law or another relevant discipline
