Responsibilities:
This is actually a Azure Senior Cloud Security EngineersAs a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will use your technical experience to assess, design, engineer and implement various security and operational controls in Delta's Azure environment. These controls will be aligned and focused on achieving compliance with Delta's security standards.
Specific activities will include:
Assessing the current environment to understand how the services are used
Identifying unused services, and services which are not optimally deployed
Create security and operational controls to enforce various aspects of our security policies
Developing methods to automatically remedy or remove non-compliant services or resources
Coordinate with application teams in order to implement changes in the Azure environment
Conduct testing of configurations and code
Participate in Agile/ Scrum meetings and coordinate on user story creation, prioritization, and refinement
To the extent possible, create and deploy all configurations as infrastructure as code
-A successful candidate will have a background and experience in software development and be able to apply those skills as necessary for developing Delta's security foundations for Microsoft Azure.
-If necessary, the Senior Cloud Security Engineer will help assess Azure and third-party solutions and open source projects that fit into Delta's cloud security landscape.
-Once tools are chosen, the Senior Cloud Security Engineer may then be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the chosen tool.
RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
Effectively understand Delta's applicable compliance frameworks and implement corresponding controls
Develop the organization's DevSecOps practices and tool sets on the Azure platform
Create and implement infrastructure as code to enforce and auto-remedy security controls
Develop and deploy tools in Azure, providing an enterprise view of compliance
Integrate Azure solutions with Delta's Information Security.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, Math, or equivalent.
Two to Five years of experience implementing solutions in AWS
Five to Seven years experience in software development
Strong skills in tactical, operational, and strategic level cyber threat intelligence.
Advanced understanding of cyber threat vectors and countermeasures.
Understanding of Linux/Unix platforms.
Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security
Solid understanding of networking (WAN, LAN, wLAN), network domains (Internet, intranet, DMZ), communication techniques/protocols (IP and others), and their combined effects on network and host systems security.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical details in a clear, comprehensible manner.
CISSP and CCSP preferred
AWS or Azure certifications preferred
