Job Description:
Leidos has an immediate opening for a Jr level full stack Software Developer to work in our Atlanta, GA, office in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborates with program manager, bioinformatics scientist/engineers to develop solution supporting the bioinformatics and scientific community
Work with customer to refine, groom and prioritize issue backlog.
Work with customer and development teams to flush out technical and QA requirement
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.
Adhere to Agile processes and software engineering best practices.
Design, code, and test web applications that streamline and facilitate bioinformatics researches
Trouble shoot software errors and technical issues in development, QA, and production environments
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of software development experience Full stack Java development with 1+ years of experience with Java Spring Boot
2+ years of experience with one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks, including any of the following: React, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience in interacting with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Representational State Transfer (REST)
Experience with NodeJS, Python, RegEx, Redis, Bash, MongoDB, Docker, Linux, Jenkins, CI/CD
Agile development experience
Proficiency with web application and data analytics technologies
Deep understanding of software design patterns.
Preferred Candidates with a subset of the Qualifications below:
Experience with Hapi.js, Express.js
Experience with Hadoop & Spark
Experience with developing cloud-based solutions
Knowledge of SecDevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practice and tools
Previous experience supporting Bioinformatics solutions
Previous experience working in CDC or other federal agencies
Requires ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
