Position DescriptionResponsible for the nursing care of a defined patient population. Care is provided through the use of the nursing process and in a manner that is cost effective while maintaining quality of care and optimal patient outcomes. Performs assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions and evaluates the effectiveness of care. Participates in unit based and organizational quality improvement initiatives, meets continuing education requirements, participates in student/new employee orientations/teaching activities, upholds Patient Care Services philosophy and objectives, demonstrates professional growth and development through involvement in professional organizations, reviews professional literature and participates in continuing education programs.Position RequirementsBachelor's Science in Nursing or other bachelors with a Masters Degree in Nursing. Licensed to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or have an active Multi-State Registered Nurse Compact License. Current American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS). Strong organization and communication skills. Must effectively speak, read and write English. Advanced Life Support and Nation Certification in required areas.Preferred RequirementsPrevious experience in a like-setting.
