Position DescriptionThe Staff Nurse(SN)/Senior Staff Nurse(SSN)/Staff Nurse-PRN is a professional registered nurse responsible for the nursing care of a defined patient population. Care is provided through the use of the nursing process and in a manner that is cost effective while maintaining quality of care and optimal patient outcomes. The SN/SSN/PRN performs assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions and evaluates the effectiveness of care. The SN/SSN/PRN participates in unit based and organizational quality improvement initiatives, meets continuing education requirements, participates in student/new employee orientations/teaching activities, upholds Patient Care Services philosophy and objectives, demonstrates professional growth and development through involvement in professional organizations, reviews professional literature and participates in continuing education programs.Position RequirementsBSN or advanced nursing degree required. Licensed to practice as Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or have an active Multi-State Registered Nurse Compact License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Strong organization and communication skills.
