Title: Operations Laborer
Reports to: Assistant Manager
Summary
This position provides plant care, nursery maintenance, loading outbound trucks and unloading inbound product. Must also use great customer service when greeting and doing business with customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain all plants and associated material on the sales yard
Greet customers on the yard. Build relationships with foreman and crews associated to our customer base
Use and operate radio communication with sales office
Select and stage orders for customers as directed by branch management and sales staff
Space, jam, prune, weed, fertilize, water, or take other plant care measures to keep plants healthy
Load sales orders onto trucks for scheduled delivery; maintain accurate paperwork and clearly identifiable orders
Ensure you know and practice good safety behavior and good safe work practices
Operate skid steer and other MHE under OSHA certification as required
Perform other duties as required

Ability to become certified to operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment)
Ability and desire to learn plant names and location on yard

Physical Requirements
Prolonged walking and standing
Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F) occasional weekend
Ability to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold
