ob Description Title: DRIVERS EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR
Reports to: EXECUTIVE OFFICE TEAM
Summary of Position: As a Driver's Education Instructor at Nathan's, you will be responsible for preparing clients to become safe and defensive driver's which in turn, saves lives. You will share your knowledge of the state and local laws, how to reduce the risk of a collision and how to prepare for the responsibilities of driving a car in both. You will give practical, real life experiences. Your job is to provide safe, friendly, responsive service to make learning to drive an exceptional experience for our clients. We are a successful local small business that has been around for over thirty years. Most of our clients come to us via word of mouth. We serve people from all walks of life and are looking for compassionate instructors who care about saving lives.
Job functions:
Teach students (both teenagers and adults) how to drive through behind the wheel and classroom instruction.
Utilizing our technology for scheduling and communication.
Respond to communications from the office staff and students in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with office staff and students.
Maintaining and filing all record cards for all students
Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
Keeping accurate logs of hours, lessons taught, distance etc.
Maintain the company vehicle and/or any equipment when it is in your possession.
Complete any training needed and/or provided
Resolve customer complaints in a positive manner and work with management
Complete other duties as assigned by management
Candidate for the job:
Has experience teaching and/or working with people in a social service setting,
Is positive and energetic

Pleases clients and receives positive feedback
Is willing to learn
Performs his or her job in a friendly, courteous manner at all times
Remains diligent and focused during work hours and has excellent work ethic
Possesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Is at least 25 years of age
Possesses a high school diploma
Possesses basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Email, Excel, Power Point and how to use a computer and/or smart phone/tablet.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds.
Must be willing to teach students from all backgrounds and experience.
Must have a flexible schedule and want/be willing to work when needed. This is a part time job. We pay overtime after 30 hours.
Must be able to provide their own transportation to and from the office to pick up vehicles. You are paid for the time you are teaching.
Must have a good driving record and demonstrate good driving habits at all times as this is what we do!
Must pass a background check, E-verify and be able to be legally employed
Must be able to obtain a license to teach THIS IS DONE THROUGH THE STATE AND YOU ARE REIMBURSED AFTER SIX MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT
