Big Bend Creamery is looking for a highly motivated, self starter for an open route sales position in Waycross, GA
About the company: Big Bend Creamery is a family owned and operated ice cream distributor founded in 2005. Big Bend distributes for national ice cream brands such as Blue Bunny and M&M Mars as well as Mayfield Creamery. Our main distribution hub is located in Tallahassee, FL but we have satellite branches scattered throughout South GA. Starting August 12, 2019 we will be opening a location in Waycross GA to better serve the current customers in Southeast GA.
Position: Route Sales Representative. The RSR is responsible for the weekly and biweekly service of our pre-established customer base.
Responsibilities:
Safely load, unload, and deliver products at each account.
Drive truck over established route to deliver, stock, and stage product at customer locations.
Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and deliver promotional material to customers.
Verify shipment accuracy and salable condition of product.
Resolve discrepancies and customer complaints.
Collect rejected, or unsold merchandise for return.
Complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery as required.
Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on truck to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on truck.
Exhibit courteousness toward customers, work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, maintain neat appearance, and follow established policies and direction of management.
Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
NOTE: This job description does not imply that the above functions are the only tasks that may be performed. Associates will be expected, if possible, to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related tasks as directed by management.
Compensation: We compensate on a base plus commission rate with a floor of $600. (Meaning if one does not reach a commission greater than $600 the driver will paid $600 under consideration of sales data)
Requirements:
-CLASS B CDL with Air Brake endorsements
-High School Diploma/Equivalent
-CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
-Must be able to pass a drug test
-No Criminal Record (Schools are a large portion of the route)
