CTDL Adjunct InstructorDescriptionNatureof Duties:Under general supervision prepares lessonplans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses;develops program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives; evaluatesstudents’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintainssupplies and equipment and prepares budget requests; maintains programcertification/accreditation requirements as appropriate. Prepares and maintains all requireddocumentation and administrative reports; attends professional developmenttraining, workshops, seminars, and conferences; ensures safety and securityrequirements are met in the discipline area; meets with students, staff membersand other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and otherissues; assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. Teachescourses in Commercial Truck Driving in a classroom/lab/field environment thatclosely simulates the environment of the industry while maintaining knowledgeof current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in the theory andpractical applications of commercial truck driving; establishes, measures, andevaluates program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuousstudent improvement and success. Requiresstrong computer skills, communication skills, and ability to interacteffectively with a diverse student population. Position may require committeeand project assignments or other duties as assigned as well as day/evening/distancelearning classes and activities.Minimum Qualifications:Certificate in Commercial Truck Driving froman accredited institution or Accredited Industry TrainingThree (3) years out of the past seven (7)years of over-the-road (OTR) experienceCurrent CDL – Class APTNClean MVR for pastseven (7) yearsNotes
