Summary:

This position is responsible for communicating with customers to arrange payment of past due account balances to reduce non-pay disconnect churn.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

Contacts assigned customers on outbound calls to arrange payment of past due account balances. Business and Residential accounts

Accepts inbound calls from WOW customers to arrange payments

Follows credit & collections processes and procedures and negotiates payment terms within policies

Refers special credit arrangements, escalations, and high-level problematic accounts to appropriate leadership personnel for resolution

Coordinates with other departments on credit, collections and customer issues as needed

Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience/Skills Needed:

Must possess a positive, can do attitude that is focused on providing an excellent customer service experience

Prior Collection experience a plus

(Internal candidates) Minimum 6 months experience with ICOMS or USHA operating platform

Knowledge of credit and collection best practices and regulations including TCPA, FDCPA, PCI and Legal requirements is preferred

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Good analytical and problem-solving skill

Ability to adapt to collection techniques, process and procedures for both Early stage and Late stage accounts (Colorado Springs)

Ability to adapt to production changes and use of a Dialer for outbound/inbound calling activities.

Computer Skills:

Excellent computer skills including MS Office

Microsoft Word, Excel and Sharepoint

Account Research Specialist

This position is responsible for financial balancing and reconciliation of payments, Sox Audits and billing/customer account issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

Utilize Business Object reports and Vesta data feeds to ensure proper posting of payments

Respond to escalated customer account issues, meeting customer expectations and WOW's customer service standards

Handles all inquiries regarding misapplied/unposted payments and customer refunds

Responsible for applying all check reversals & chargebacks to customer accounts

Responsible for posting of payments mailed to the office as well as rejected items from lockbox

Track and process accordingly bankruptcy paperwork received

Adjust accounts as needed for returned equipment

Post wire payments to business accounts that wire funds directly to WOW

Post CMI payments that are received in the CMI system and the Adjustment Agency payments within USHA

Prepare reports for processing of expired/rejected credit card payments and return checks

Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:
