Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for converting engineering releases into product demand for both purchased and manufactured parts. This position is the liaison between production control and engineering in regards to ensuring information is accurate within the conversion process. This role is also the direct backup for creating manufacturing work orders and scheduling process.

Essential Functions:

• Review BOM created in AGILE and make necessary corrections, including additions and deletions, prior to releasing for fulfillment processes.
• Understanding and constantly communicating production needs and progress to all relevant internal and external parties.
• Work Order Creation and maintenance including demand entry
• Work closely with Purchasing, Planning and Manufacturing to execute the parts fulfillment process as needed.
• Review material requirements to support the manufacturing process.
• Create drawings as needed for Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering to recover and hold individual parts/assemblies released to manufacturing pending upcoming revision.
• Assistance with Material Expediting as needed.
• Ensure work order routings are maintained and correct.
• Create work orders to maintain safety stock and define minimum run quantities.
• Determine when to Make or Outsource drawing parts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience working in a customized manufacturing environment
• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of direct experience with ERP/MRP processes and MS Office solutions
• Must have at least 2+ years of experience interfacing with various disciplines and communicating technical specifications both verbally and in written format

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a Production Planning, Material Scheduling or Inventory Control capacity is a plus
• Experience utilizing AGILE or a similar PDM is preferred
• Experience with SAP is preferred
