SunPlus Data Group is looking for a PMP Certified IT Project Manager to work for a State Government facility in Decatur, GA
This is for around 12 months and may extend

Candidates must be able to work on-site in (telework may be an option while COVID-19 restrictions are in place) Job Summary: Under limited supervision, manages projects through the full life cycle from project definition and approval through implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Creates a collaborative partnership with all internal and external team members to accomplish the deliverables within the timeframes and budgets defined. Provides guidance to the project team and utilizes standard project management methodology. May also serve in a lead role and/or supervise lower-level staff. Expert level knowledge of standard PM tools such as One Note, MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, MS Office Suite, etc to share project plans and manage overall communication with stakeholders. Ability to lead communications and facilitate documentation, track and monitor events for a task force of approximately 20 people. Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously The successful candidate will be exceptional at documentation, tracking and monitoring a budget and they will have knowledge of facilities, construction, infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards Will direct and coordinate project activities, including but not limited to:
Planning
Schedule development and maintenance
Resource tracking
Risk management
Communications management
Reporting
Quality management
Vendor management
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations Well-developed communication skills – oral, written, listening. Good analytical and negotiation skills, and close attention to detail. Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivation skills. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
7+ years of recent relevant project management experience, with a progression in responsibility
Project Management Certification (PMP) or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
