THE JOB
This is a Senior Human Resources Generalist position and requires someone who has At least 5-7 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist. As a Senior Human Resources Generalist your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Job Summary:
    The Senior Human Resources Generalist coordinates, administers and develops various human resources services and functions within the Griffin facility. Under the general guidance of senior Human Resources management, the incumbent works with employees on all payroll and all shifts. The incumbent has potential to support up to 700 employees. The incumbent often confronts complex issues or problems, which requires careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique, and solutions can require original approaches.
    Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide direction and guidance to all levels of employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency.
  • Actively participate as a functional resource on business team ensuring human resources is an integral part of the business strategy.
  • Keep employees, managers, general managers, and leadership members advised on changes.
  • Play an integral part in the facility Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results through integrating cultural values in the day-to-day business activities.
  • Provide direction to Facility Management in interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices, and procedures, as well as international laws if applicable, governmental regulations, and internal investigations to enhance consistency and maintain and improve the work environment of the facility.
  • Provide employment and personnel services including hiring new employees, administering benefits, providing appropriate training, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Provide directives considering impact upon the company (financial), employee engagement, and consideration for the future (new practices, policies, and procedures).
  • Support and maintain regional point of contacts for competitive businesses for local wage and benefit surveys to be conducted.
  • Research, benchmark, create strategic initiatives, and design implementation strategy to improve business unit results at all locations.
  • Implement policies, practices and procedures related to employment practices, appropriate training, benefits, and safety.
  • Support and coordinate, training, development, and promotion to ensure proper and effective staffing, personnel selection and practices, manpower planning and succession planning, skills development, training, policy & practice interpretation, and application.
  • Assist managers in addressing individual and organizational effectiveness issues and compensation administration.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Human Resources Generalist who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Human Resources Generalist would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Vast working knowledge in employee relations, employment laws, personnel, training, and operations
  • Must possess strong process management and communications skills, along with managing through systems, patience, and personal computer proficiency.
  • Top Candidates will also have:
  • Master s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Previous experience utilizing software (i.e., Workday)
  • Possesses strong change management, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills
