Make your mark and help us drive Good Growth – growth that is profitable, sustainable and responsible.Job Overview/SummaryAs a Central Engineering Packaging Engineer, will use Clorox engineering principles and Early Management tools to design, modify capability and improve packaging systems in various Clorox manufacturing facilities. The Engineer frequently will work as part of multi-functional teams, providing packaging engineering functional expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up. Project work will require travel and is expected to be 30-50% of time as dictated by work assignments.Key Responsibilities
Using Clorox engineering standards and processes, develop detailed project scope of work and cost estimates related to the design, functional changes, and improvements of manufacturing systems.
Oversee and insure successful implementation of those changes to manufacturing systems.
Perform functions of capital project manager which includes responsibility for defining the overall project scope, cost, obtaining funding approval, procurement and construction management.
With the assistance of others defines, manages, and critically reviews work products from outside engineering firms and from internal engineering improvement initiatives, to provide detailed engineering work and technical leadership.
Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
2 years' of engineering experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
BSME / BSChE, Mechanical Engineering preferred
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to influence and accomplish work through others
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
Ability to coach and develop self and others in the course of completing work assignments
Technical Experience: Experience in Manufacturing system engineering, Lean Manufacturing/Early Management, Capital Project management
Experience with team interaction techniques
