Senior Project Manager, Atlanta, GA 30328 (Currently remote but must be flexible to work in office; will be working between Norcross and Sandy Springs locations)

Kelly Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be managing a team to support the applications this project will roll out. This project will cover all aspects of a typical ERP solution regarding forecasted demand, allocation management, Buy/Sell, scheduled delivery, freight tracking, receiving, quality evaluations, material/trailer inventory and invoice/payment processing. for one of our top clients in Atlanta, GA

Length: 06/21/2021 to 06/20/2022 (Contract to HireW2)

Type: Contract to Hire W2-There is no "per diem" with this position. There is no relocation budgeted for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs. NO C2C, at this time we are not in the position to offer any type of sponsorships or VISA transfers for this position.

Pay Rate: $negotiable/hr. (W2)

Project Description

This project will eliminate 8 applications (4 order to invoice/procure to payment) and (4 scale applications used at recycle mills and plants). The solution is an extension of an existing vendor solution currently used on the virgin business side for business. This is a 30 month software/hardware design and implementation project. The first 6 months consist of design/configuration/requirement validation. The following 24 months consists of project rollout to 18 recycle plants, 20 manufacturing mills and corporate brokerage for National Accounts and Export.

Roles and responsibilities

Project plan creation and management, Project gate reviews, daily summary, and weekly report outs. Adherence to company ePMO PM requirements and use of ServiceNow. Partner with IT Director, vendor, business partners and other IT resources as needed to design, configure, and implement standard processes and software. Provide overall status while managing the operation, and administration of the project.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the various stakeholders of the project including but not limited to subcontractors, owner, design team, vendors, etc.
  • Prepares, submits, and obtains approval for change requests.
  • Leads various meetings such as team meetings, monthly project reviews, and progress meetings. Tracks, and controls outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables. Work analytically and creatively using teamwork, innovation, and excellence to solve problems.
  • Prepares project schedule, gathers input from project team and utilizes Lean principles as appropriate. Develops and updates project schedule to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet the project schedule.
  • Identifies potential schedule impacts including scope, weather, manpower and changes, and facilitates mitigation plans for these impacts.
  • Provides appropriate written documentation for decisions affecting various aspects of the project such as budget, schedule, legal, and/or safety. Employs current best practices for documentation requirements.
  • Provides a variety of regular reporting and analysis to project team(s) to communicate overall project status.
  • Prepares monthly cost and margin forecast with input from project lead and reviews with the project team. Participates in the development of the project budget. Regularly reviews costs relative to the budget, and highlights discrepancies to enable improved financial performance.
  • Leads overall project closeout process using best practice standards, tools and processes such as the close-out punch list, financials, gate reviews, etc.


Qualifications, skills, and proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Paper Industry, Recycle Industry or Manufacturing industry
  • Experience implementing large ERP solutions such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Oracle
  • At least ten years related experience in project management, planning, and tracking
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, drive to timelines and expectations
  • Experience working with business stakeholders in related industries
  • Experience with and understanding of full project or product lifecycle
  • Proficiency with project management tools and related technology
  • Excellent planning and time management
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills from prior work situations
  • Ability to construct a project from start to finish.


Working Environment
  • May require periods of travel
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
  • Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office
