St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Macon is seeking assistants for the after school program for the 2021/2022 school year. This is a part-time position (Monday through Friday, 3-6pm, with some flexibility) and is open to retirees, part-timers, college students, etc.
Responsibilities: Monitoring indoor/outdoor activities with particular attention to safety and well being, monitoring the distribution of snacks, overseeing completion of homework assignments with assistance when needed.
Requirements: An assistant should be physically able to engage in light activities with children, possess the ability to multi-task, and be capable of maintaining close observation at all times. An assistant should understand the level of responsibility that comes with managing children entrusted to their care and must exhibit mature conduct at all times. An assistant should be adept at diffusing minor disagreements. All personnel working with children must complete a two hour course (at no charge) offered by Virtus and pass a background check.
