Primary Location: 6601 Hawkinsville Rd, Macon, GA, USA Division: Cox Communications Inc Job Level: Manager/Senior Manager Travel: Yes, 5 % of the Time Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Requisition Number: 214542 Cox Communications is searching for a Project Manager II for Outside Plant and Construction (OSPC) to work on residential new build, plan organize and manage the onboarding and tracking of all residential new build and select rebuild activities. You will plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. You will partner with project stakeholders, internal customers, external vendors, and cross-functional teams. You will work with a cross-functional team to execute on defined deliverables and drives key decisions. You will use industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to achieve a projects stated objectives. In this role you will be asked to assist with the deployment of new processes, tools and strategies for the success of the overall program as well as the individual projects and areas you serve. Building successful relationships will be important to your ongoing success. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: - Lead medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision - Budget management typically includes tracking and monitoring spend to project milestones - May provide guidance and direction to more junior project management staff - Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers - Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations - Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures - Able to work independently or as part of a team to solve larger issues or mitigate ongoing risks or process gaps. - Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results - Proactively anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change including standardization efforts, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status - Creates and applies project control techniques that reduce risk from changing technological infrastructure, hardware, automations, systems software, or applications systems - Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion - Produce and report on KPIs and metrics Qualifications: Minimum: - 3 years of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management) or academic equivalent training or projects - Working knowledge of functional or related processes - Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills - Ability to work within multiple tools and systems Preferred: - BS/BA degree in related discipline - Experience in telecommunications industry - Experience with WATTS, Sitetracker, ICOMS, Optix
