Description:

A Security Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business. Assesses system, application, network, and/or telecom needs, provides modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluates and implement new advanced technologies. Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project. Responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables.
Client teams are responsible for the protection of financial transactions and sensitive data, and make a critical contribution to ensuring that client retains its position as a leading security-focused technology innovator.
Theyare responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data protection solutions as well as providing consultation and assistance to application teams developing secure applications. The candidate should have a passion for managing corporate security along with a desire to champion best practices.
Major Responsibilities include:
• Consultation and assistance to application teams looking to leverage our data protection technologies
• Design and support of encryptionand data security solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
• Implement technical measures or leverage existing technologies to prevent sensitive data from leaving the company through various channels
• Engineering and support of backend appliances and agent software to encrypt data at rest
• Interacting with solution vendors to ensure products are in line with client’s objectives and security requirements
Candidate Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in information technology with emphasis on Information Security
• Intermediate to advanced systems engineering skills with Windows and/or Unix/Linux
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of encryption and data protection technologies and methodologies
• Knowledge or experience with cloud encryption solutions
• Proven analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well with both local and remote team members
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business/management, and technical/engineering team members.
• Ability to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to customers and management
• Proven ability to manage time, priorities with multiple projects, and meet aggressive timelines
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and skills, including independent decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Computer Security or equivalent work experience required
• CISSP, CISM or specialized GIAC certification is preferred
• Solid understanding of Hardware Security Managed technologies with actual experience of Encryption technologies such as Vormetric, Voltage, PKWare or Thales Key Authority encryption products a plus
• Solid knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and CASB technologies
