Our Client based out of Atlanta is actively looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer (C/C#) for a Permanent/Direct-Hire (Hybrid/Remote) role.

Candidates Must be located in the Atlanta area. Candidates must also have a background in Systems Engineering with C/C#.

The Senior Systems Software Engineer is responsible for helping the company both build and maintain a high-end transaction system, normalizing database systems to be more performant, and assisting with afterhours field calls.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot network related issues involving UDP/TCP/Web Requests
  • Implement & maintain MFC C/C# applications with scalability in mind for hundreds of clients
  • Implement database solutions and SQL stored procedures that account for scalability
  • Create and maintain both new and existing database reports and UI report generation
  • Help ensure nightly report jobs do not impact 24/7 gameplay/operations
  • Performing SQL code analysis and SQL performance profiling
  • Ability to create GUIs in both Winforms and WPF
  • Create Server Kit builds using InstallShield
  • Participate in the agile SDLC process
  • Reachable after-hours for any time-sensitive field issue

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar
  • 7+ years of work experience in a high speed transactional and horizontal systems development
  • 7+ years with a relational database technology and the T-SQL syntax
  • Expert in C (MFC) specifically dealing with UDP/TCP traffic
  • Expert in C# (anything above .Net Framework 4.5+)
  • Expert in Cloud solutions that deploy to Azure
  • Expert in database partitioning of database physical files to improve performance
  • Expert in database normalization techniques
  • Expert in performance implications when using views and joins
  • Expert in SQL debugging and SQL profiling
  • Expert in SQL permissions and how database users map to SQL logins

Preferred:
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019
  • Experience with SQL Server 2019
  • Proficient with WCF utilizing SOAP
  • Proficient with MVC 4 and REST API
  • Proficient with WinForms and WPF technologies
  • Working knowledge in PowerShell
  • Working knowledge in bat scripting
  • Experience with InstallShield 2019+ for deploying onsite solutions
  • Experience working with a data access layer to encapsulate database logic from application
  • Deep understanding of DHCP and DNS as it pertains to network discovery for client/server
  • Deep understanding of UDP & TCP/IP stack and Network Socket/performance optimization
  • Deep understanding/Experience with MSSQL
  • Understanding of Windows Server API
  • Security background with understanding of encryption algorithms are a plus
