The Newnan, GA team is looking for a Second Shift Production Supervisor

.

In addition, the Production Supervisor will be directly involved in meeting all: EH&S, Customer, Quality, and Financial goals within the site. The individual will lead by devising and executing: operational strategies, production resource scheduling, and continuous improvement, while providing clear and crisp communication with site leadership, peers, and subordinates. Competencies that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication. The individual must embrace the CPEx and thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direction to the operations team setting both near and long term operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.
  • Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving on-time delivery / return goals.
  • Effectively communicate cross functional requirements to ensure smooth process flow
  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a quality working relationship
  • Ensure World-class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
  • Ensure full involvement in CPEx continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilize CPEx tools to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Preferred fields of study include Engineering, Business Management and Supply Chain.

Qualifications:

  • You're a US Citizen required (due to Government contract requirements)
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Operations, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering Support within a manufacturing and/or overhaul & repair facility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Your background includes 4 or more years of combined experience in Process Engineering, Quality Engineering or Operations Management within an Aerospace manufacturing facility DAT FAR145 Repair Station environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers, customers and clients
  • Previous supervisory or management experience operating within a bargaining unit setting is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles, Lean Manufacturing, QCPC, Operational Excellence (OpEx), & Six-Sigma is strongly preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments
  • You are comfortable working Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Unigraphics and SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to drive obligations to closure with precision to benefit the organization and every constituent
