Description
There is a job opening at Robert Half for a PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues. If you are self-motivated, a problem solver, and interested in a positive, dynamic environment, you could thrive in this role. For this role, you will be positioned in the Newnan, GA area
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues
· Communicate with suitable vendors to coordinate needed repairs
· Support functionality testing and end users
· Retain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and solutions or installations
· Handle data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware along with break/fix
· Own and complete technology implementation projects
· Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date
· Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards
· Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site
· Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases
· Service a variety of computer hardware, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and refurbishing PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment
· Image and set up new computers
· Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters
· An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued
Requirements
SKILLS: ·1 - 3 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN ·Deep understanding of Network Printers ·Printer Problems experience preferred ·Printer Hardware experience desired ·Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures ·A certification in CompTIA A+ is mandatory ·Strong attention to detail ·Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical ·Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
