Our team is rich in diversity and our culture encourages continuous personal growth and teamwork in all we do.Maintenance MechanicPosition Summary:Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production and process manufacturing equipment onsite, as well as performing modifications, repairs, and preventative/predictive maintenance tasks on existing equipment. This position is for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Hours are 3 pm. - 11 pm. and 11pm -7a.m. Overtime is mandatory as required to a maximum of 12 hour shifts as production needs arise.QUALIFICATIONS:Successful experience in assuring safety standards that are in compliance with all Company, Local, State and Federal guidelines.Direct experience in a 5s environment.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory, principles, and statuary codes.Basic computer skills with MS Excel, Word and Outlook Email.RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively participates in assigned plant safety related initiatives.Participates in and maintains departmental shop 5S standards.Assist with scheduling and coordination of all preventative maintenancePrioritization and completion of assigned maintenance service requests.Demonstrates ability in the use of a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis.Responsible for reading, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, sketches and drawings.Assist in the management of spare parts inventory.Provide proper documentation of daily maintenance activities utilizing internal tracking systems.Essential Functions:Mechanical Aptitude:General knowledge required in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.), pneumatics and hydraulics in order to effectively troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision.Practical knowledge in the use of precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.Ability to safely operate shop tools such as milling machines, lathes, cutoff saws, drill press, bench grinder, hydraulic press, vertical band saw, arc welders, acetylene torch and various other hand tools is essential.Electrical Aptitude:Electrical knowledge needed: Use of multi-meter to test fuses and controls for voltage and ampsAbility to replace electric motors, sensors, electronic air solenoids, steam control valves, process flow dispensing valves, fans, lights etc. with like component's or as directed by supervisors and team members.Candidate Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentMillwright Ramsey Test required.Strong commitment to all aspects of safety.Must be team oriented and focused on quality.Attention to detail, cooperative attitude, and sound work ethics are essentialAbility to work 12 hour day and night rotating shift.Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.Physical Demands:Requirements include, but are not limited to (all times are approximate):Sitting (3-5 hours)Standing (5 hours or more)Walking (5 hours or more)Lifting (Regularly/Constantly):0-10 lbs.
