Responsible for the performance of any/all functions involved in the development and/or maintenance of new or existing applications. Using programming language and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Nature of Contribution - Expert level technical professional. Technical authority within organization. Contributes through own development of advanced technologies or concepts with global reach or industry application. Has direct impact on creation of technical products/services and serves as a role model and a mentor.
Knowledge - This position is responsible for rate and promotion implementation/coordination with IT to implement Video offers and changes to rates requested by partner organizations. This includes creation of billing tables, testing and validation of rates and promotions and life-cycle management through processes such as Rapid Deployment (RD) to ensure offers are delivered on time. This position is responsible for implementing and testing product offers and promotional offers for the DIRECTV portfolio of services. These services include satellite, IP and streaming delivered video services. Major job duties include very detailed data entry of all promotions and pricing information for use by IT for conflict and error free implementation of all DIRECTV pricing/promotion changes. Other responsibilities include participating in teams that support the life-cycle management processes and offers coordinated through IT releases, as well as, testing of the offers. This will include extensive coordination with other work groups including Marketing, Customer Experience, Product Management, Sales Operations/Channel Management, IT, Regulatory and Legal. This individual will need an intense attention to detail to insure accuracy in the implementation of pricing and offer variables. This individual will work with the billing client services team to introduce offers. This individual will need to identify ways to improve the implementation process and assist with implementing process enhancements, including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements. The individual must be a self-starter, have the ability to work complex issues under short timelines across various stakeholders within the company. The candidate must be flexible and able to work effectively in a fast moving environment.
