Long established tour company with Top 10 TripAdvisor status seeking qualified storytellers. There are morning slots and afternoon slots available. Tours last 2 hours so depending on your location, you can expect to devote 2-4 hours a day in the whole process. Please note we will not answer questions without required materials below being supplied and thank you. With training complete? You can expect to start working as early as Feb 2019 or early March. Some are faster to get on deck than others but this depends on your ambition completely.
Must be 30 years or older, live within Savannah area and if you have previous tour guide experience, your application will go to front of line. And yes, please send a resume. We require 2 "headshots." One everyday photo and one face shot. As you are essentially filling a role in a daily theatrical performance, we are looking for certain types to fill this role. All applicants will be considered and we DO follow up with everyone.
Ideally, this job "fits" better with people who have a supplemental income and or who can devote training time. Meaning? While the pay can be great for what it is, it is not generally considered a principle income or career but we treat our staff very well and have a great reputation for loyalty and our guides stay with us. As to training? You shadow a couple of existing tours, and if you like it? Continue to follow until you're ready to lead. The main question to ask yourself? "Can I entertain people for 2 hours and send them home bragging about their time with me?" If you hesitated for more than 5 seconds? Probably not for you. But we train to perfection as well so if you've got the basic "goods," we can take it from there have no fear.
