Title: Senior Director of Data Governance Location: Remote Direct Hire Opportunity
You will be responsible for maintaining, implementing and ensuring compliance to the Data Management strategies, policy, standards and processes to effectively govern data.
Job Responsibilities:
Policy and Standards
Establish and maintain policies and standards for end-to-end data management
Define data management operational processes (e.g., data quality measurement) in accordance with policies and standards, clearly articulating roles and responsibilities
Program governance
Monitor and measure compliance to standards and processes
Support D&A Management Committee and the D&A Steering Committee by setting the agenda and preparing supporting documents
Solve cross-business functions governance issues and escalate as needed
Create, manage and facilitate a Data Policy Governance process to identify and understand the critical data issues and ensure data policy enforcement and compliance
Ensure governance mechanisms are in place to monitor and control access to data
Change Management
Conduct training sessions with the data stewards on the policy, standards and processes
Coordinate with Data Stewards for each domain to achieve defined goals within EDM
Support Sr. Data Leader with communication of key governance priorities and successes across the enterprise as needed
Desired Experience:
7+ years of experience with data management standards and practices, and leading Data Governance programs
5+ years in management/executive role
Skills:
Strong leadership experience in an enterprise or cross-functional role
Strong interpersonal and communication/persuasion skills
Strong project management leadership
Experience in performance management metrics
Proven ability to coordinate cross functional teams of business, IT and other key stakeholders
Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's or higher is desired.
