Job Description

The Manger, Culture,Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Philanthropy will work to create a thriving culture this is felt and lived throughout the company for every associate and Doctor of Optometry in every part of our business. This position will develop and deliver best in class inclusion and diversity roadmap that aligns with National Vision's strategic plan and that positively and measurably affects the culture, team, and associate experience in support of the company's strategic business goals. In addition, this position will oversee all of National Vision Inc.'s philanthropic efforts under the 503c organization 20/20 Quest to create and grow a sustainable low cost eyewear and optical services model both nationally and internationally

What Would You Do?

  • Assists with defining NVI's Culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and philanthropy strategy, goals, and priorities.Ensures that philanthropy is infused throughout the organization as an important part of NVI's culture.
  • Consults with Talent Acquisition team to create and promote talent pipelines and hiring processes that engage diverse and under-represented groups to ensure selection of qualified candidates that influence innovation and diverse perspectives to enhance and improve business performance
  • Educates others on the team and across the organization on diversity issues; coaches and mentors' line and corporate human resources on diversity issues and trends.
  • Develops and maintains processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.Develops and maintains the day to day content of the 20/20 Quest and Frames for the World websites in order to showcase commitment, partnership, results, and engagement opportunities.
  • Provides instruction/facilitation, and curriculum development of culture, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) education programs designed to enhance knowledge and skills regarding multicultural competency and inclusion for all associates. Tracks the employment journey of all associates. Works with teamleaders to develop learning interventions that effectively address both organizational and team specific skill gaps.
  • Establishes strategic partnerships with current and future key external organizations to advanceNVI's citizenship goals, drive outcomes,and philanthropic efforts.
  • Develops, calculates, and reports on metrics to measure the impact of the company's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and philanthropic programs.Evaluates current philanthropic structure, benchmarking against industry best practices, and make recommendations for future program structure
  • Leads NVI's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Executive Council.
  • Creates and manages internship and college programs.
  • Participates in initiatives to improve DE&I training & development performance excellence; leads specific improvement initiatives
  • Maintains the inventory of NVI's foundation, including donation processing through the Distribution Center and tax letters to donors.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains fundraising programs including P3 Conference and 20/20 Quest Golf Invitational (vendor conference).
  • Develops and implements international philanthropic efforts by coordinating mission trips, volunteer travel, equipment, frames and lens transport ensuring compliance to foreign regulations and 503c status
  • Partners with Professional Services leadership to develop messaging that will engage and inspire our network of Doctors to actively volunteer in philanthropic efforts and activate messaging through various tools and programs. Utilizes philanthropy as strategic message in recruitment efforts. Leads all activities through school events, trade shows and mentorship programs.
  • Creates an annual calendar and continuously develops organic content to feed digital and social channels.
  • Expands reach and impact of EyeGlass World's philanthropic program; Make Locally, Given Globally. Explores ways to increase involvement from the EGW staff and our philanthropic partner Restoring Vision.

Qualifications

  • Four year college degree, or equivalent experience.Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years in Public Relations, Marketing, Corporate Giving or related area.
  • Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and program management.
  • Knowledge of laws related to equal employment opportunity.
  • Experience working with federal regulators (EEOC and OFCCP).
  • Deep understanding of societal systems of bias, and ability to apply this knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify business and HR processes.
  • Strong understanding of DEI analytics, including how to drive impact in recruitment, talent, and inclusion metrics.
  • Fundraising and volunteer coordination experience is preferred
