Job Description

The Senior Director, Procurement, will lead both Veeam’s procurement and global travel function in support of Veeam’s strategic business and operational priorities. This role will be responsible for defining procurement organizational objectives to align and support the business strategy and growth. The position will guide theprocurement organizationby settingstrategy, goals, prioritiesand creates business alignment through relationships, providing opportunity assessment per category and robust business alignment and strategic plan.

• Develop and lead the procurement organization; set strategy, goals, priorities
• Drive improvement via a customer centric approach
• Drive lean approach to sourcing and procurement across Veeam
• Manage organization to deliver on corporate strategies and tactical execution, negotiate largest deals, resolve internal and external supplier issues
• Work withbusiness units to:
• Drive compliance to contractsandenable volume aggregation
• Provide competitive biddingand develop“preferred supplier” programs.
• Institute demand managementandidentification of new suppliers
• Implement and drive policy/controls, security, privacy and other compliance requirements.
• Develop cost optimization through leveraged costs and savings.
• Maintain close relationship with legal
• Manage and work on special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegreeinbusiness or related field or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of success in leadership positions
• Experience in procurement, supply chainand negotiation strategies
• Understand and function effectively in a team environment
• Fluent in English
• A strong desire to build relationships across the company and lead/motivate people.
• An understanding of metrics and data-driven decision making
• The ability balance strategy with execution through organization and prioritization tasks
