Job Description

KMS Technology’s Healthcare Practice SVP will be responsible for developing KMS’s Healthcare strategy, then building and executing that strategy to drive growth. This position requires an individual who has intimate knowledge of the Healthcare Industry as well as a strong professional network in the Industry. This person must work well with teams, be client and market-facing, and have the aptitude and willingness to both think strategically and in roll-up-your-sleeves mode. This individual will also need to learn the independent software vendor (ISV) and technology space in which KMS Technology currently operates as a launching pad for the Healthcare Practice. The SVP Healthcare will report directly to the COO, Leo Tucker, and will work closely with the senior management team to run KMS Technology and maintain KMS’s company’s culture.

The Healthcare Practice SVP is responsible for understanding the application of healthcare technology to solve industry challenges. Specific job responsibilities include:

Define and own the Business Strategy

  • Define a sustainable and predictable business strategy and model that allows KMS to aggressively grow the business
  • Partner with the senior team to define:

    • Target Market(s)
    • Corresponding service offerings that include services delivered from both the United States and Vietnam

  • Define revenue and profit goals to drive significant growth in 2021 and beyond

Architect and integrate go-to-market plans

  • Develop the healthcare brand positioning for KMS
  • Design positioning and service offerings that differentiate KMS to clients, peers, teams, prospects, and partners.
  • Craft sales & marketing strategies to maximize revenue potential from existing and prospective new clients
  • Direct sales cycles and marketing efforts in the Healthcare space
  • Build plans to market and sell services to new and existing clients to predictably meet and exceed targets
  • Hire, train and retain highly-productive Healthcare sales professionals
  • Build a performance-driven sales culture focused on client success and growth

Oversee the Relationships with KMS’s Healthcare Clients

  • Manage relationships with all KMS Healthcare clients
  • Monitor the delivery of services to all KMS Healthcare clients (delivery will be owned by the delivery team)
  • Optimize profitability of services delivered to all KMS Healthcare clients
  • Upsell/Cross Sell new services to all KMS Healthcare clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience leading healthcare technology consulting projects/practices and providing direction for professional exempt employees.
  • Expert knowledge of one or more specific healthcare market segments, and a broad understanding of the primary areas of healthcare corporate IT function.
  • Good understanding of business and healthcare operations.
  • Prior leadership or management experience with the ability to manage matrixed teams across geographies and vendor partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel and train staff.
  • Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion.
  • Ability to communicate with clients about healthcare technology challenges and issues.
  • High level thinker and leader to build a nimble, agile, and "can do" culture in the department.
  • Possess innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Outstanding public speaking skills
  • Experience developing winning communication and campaign strategies
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff
  • Open to travel on an annualized average of 35% of the time including international trips; peak can be 100% for a period of 2-3 weeks
