The Challenge:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Air Force to achieve its mission, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit its current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a Network Engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Air Force needs.

As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for integrating any te chn ological requirements asso cia ted with local, long haul and commer cia l cloud service communication capabilities, including design, planning, management, maintenance, and reliable network to support critical missions. You'll work with SMEs, stakeholders, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and sof tware talents to good use. This is your chance to gain skills in advanced te chn ical principles, theories, and concepts on emerging te chn ologies and how to integrate them while growing your network engineering experience. You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Internet Protocol ( IP ) , Virtual Private Networks ( VPN ) , Switch, Router standup, configuration and general Internet Security capabilities
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Network Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience designing, installing, testing, and maintaining communication and network equipment and asso cia ted hardware or sof tware, including switches, modems, controllers, terminals, and multiplexers
  • Experience in requirements development and definition activities, including stakeholder engagement and customer needs elicitation
  • Experience in Active Directory, DHCP , DNS, VMWare, McAfee ePO / HBSS, or Cisco IOS
  • Experience with integrating enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements
  • Knowledge of SAFe, Agile and DevSecOps practices and methodologies
  • Secret clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Defense Acquisition System
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE )
  • Experience with Micro sof t, Linux, and CISCO environments
  • Experience with U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and Processing, and Exploitation and Dissemination ( PED ) architectures
  • Experience with AF DCGS
  • Knowledge of network operating systems, including CISCO IOS
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Network Engineering
  • CCNP or CCDP Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
