The Business Coordinator works under the Project Director and Project Accountant and is a critical support to the Leadership Team and statewide Program. The position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, overpayment recoupment and reconciliation, supply ordering, personnel and financial filing.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Assists the Project Director and Project Accountant with accounting and HR functions as accounts receivables and payables, expense reporting, payroll, report preparation, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs AR/AP functions, payroll, report preparation, faxing, etc. and general back office accounting functions.

• Maintains controls and records of financial transactions. May specialize in some phase of accounting work such as federal funds

accounting, payroll, etc. Complex data entry work involving cost accounting procedures, correcting/adjusting and closing of

journal entries. May audit operating reports, vouchers, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and similar statements

• Supports Operations with overpayment recoupment and reconciliation, specialized eligibility determinations, and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• 1+ year of full-time experience in accounting principles, practices and procedures; and performing routine accounting work.

• Proficient computer skills and ability to use general office equipment. Proficiency in Excel and Word required. Familiarity with

Oracle Financials or other accounting software a plus. Must be able to use computer for controlling, batching, coding or balancing

accounting related processes; meticulous documentation/recording skills and attention to detail;

• Excellent organizational and time management skills; superior communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills;

• High School diploma or equivalent; higher education a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal

WORK HOURS

Monday-Friday 7:45 am -4:30 pm.
