DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk on a long-term temporary basis to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Construction/Contractor industry. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. Located in Honolulu, Hawaii, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary opening.Your responsibilities in this Accounts Payable Clerk role
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Manage full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

Strong attention to detail
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Wide ranging experience with 10 Key Skills
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Good understanding of Invoice Discrepancies
General familiarity with Expense Accruals
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Account reconciliation experience
Quality experience with Microsoft Excel
Practical knowledge of QuickBooks
Earlier work involving data entry
Proven knowledge of expense reports
Experience with Posting Payments
Well-founded grasp of Expense Reconciliation
Comprehension of Posting Journal Entries
Skills in Resolve Discrepancies
Experience with Expense Reimbursements
Hands-on experience with journal entries
Knowledge of Weekly Account Payable
Previous experience working with Research Discrepancies
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
