Position Description Summary
Banquet Servers needed for lunch and dinner banquet events at private club downtown for Club members and guests to receive proper, attentive, courteous and professional service during the Clubâs private events. Positive attitude, professionalism and teamwork a must. Holidays and weekends required as business dictates.
Duties and Responsibilities
ï§ Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
ï§ Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
ï§ Set up and clean banquet rooms and serve banquets.
ï§ Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
ï§ Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon greeting them.
ï§ Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station.
ï§ Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
ï§ Clears soiled dishes as needed.
ï§ Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and banquet areas.
ï§ Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
ï§ Assists in closing functions such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for next function.
ï§ Attends staff meetings including pre-shift sessions.
ï§ Consistently follows all food safety-related requirements.
ï§ Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain.
ï§ Adherence to schedules and attendance at all service staff meetings.
ï§ To work well as a team member with the entire club staff.
ï§ Operate under all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as set forth by The Pacific Club.
ï§ Other duties as required.
ï§ Directly reports to the Banquet Captain and/or Manager
Physical Demands and Work Environment
ï§ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
ï§ Ability to carry trays of food
ï§ Ability to open wine bottles
ï§ Standing on feet for up to 8 hours
ï§ Continuous repetitive motions.
ï§ Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
Education and Experience
ï§ High School diploma or GED equivalent.
ï§ Fine dining experience, wine knowledge is preferred.
Licenses and Special Requirements
ï§ TB test & yellow card (upon employment)
