POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager (GM) will oversee all daily operations in a high-end lounge and nightclub, ensuring the venue's success through excellent management, superior guest experiences, and effective leadership. The GM will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with legal and health standards, and driving the overall financial performance of the lounge/nightclub.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all daily operations of the venue, including staffing, inventory management, and financial controls.

Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations that meet all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Implement and monitor operational procedures to maximize profitability and efficiency.

Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, including bartenders, servers, security, and other staff.

Foster a positive and professional work environment, encouraging teamwork and employee growth.

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with the venue's vision.

Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and ambiance.

Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.

Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, including special events and promotions.

Manage the venue’s budget, including forecasting, cost control, and revenue optimization.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.

Develop and implement strategies to meet financial targets, such as pricing strategies and cost reduction initiatives.

Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events to increase visibility and

customer traffic.

Establish partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and entertainment professionals to enhance the venue’s

reputation and attract new clientele.

Oversee the planning and execution of events, from private parties to large-scale promotions.

Work closely with the events team to ensure seamless coordination, from initial planning to post-event evaluation.

Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including alcohol licensing, health and safety

standards, and labor laws.

Manage security operations to ensure the safety of guests and staff.

Prepare regular reports on operational performance, financial results, and other key metrics for management.

Use data and analytics to make informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.

Strong local network within the entertainment and hospitality industries.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2+ years of management experience in a restaurant, lounge, nightclub, or similar hospitality environment.

Minimum of 1+ year of bartending experience.

EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS

Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, computer skills, and security camera systems (both mobile and online).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a high-end lounge and nightclub, featuring a vibrant atmosphere with upscale service standards. The General Manager will manage operations in a fast-paced environment, with loud music, dim lighting, and busy crowds, ensuring a premium guest experience.

WORK SCHEDULE

Expected to work 50 hours per week, with a minimum of 45 on-site hours.

Must have open availability and be on call to meet business needs.

3 Night Shifts: 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM

2 Mid Shifts: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Weekends: Mandatory, with the option to rotate one weekend off if desired.
