Ichiriki Japanese Nabe Restaurant is looking for a passionate, hardworking, and dedicated Assistant Manager for our Kaneohe location.

This is a Full Time Salaried position (Details to be discussed during interview)

We are looking for someone who wants to grow both personally and professionally with a local company and who is looking for long term employment. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of recent restaurant experience and preferably one year or more of management experience, be comfortable adapting to change, and be a like minded individual who understands the true meaning of, and can exemplify excellent customer service and selflessly give to others.

This individual also needs to be able to:

- Communicate effectively with existing staff and management

- Work with little or no supervision, be able to think critically and make sound decisions

- Be honest, committed, eager to please, improve, grow and an excellent team player

- Have stamina, speed, and move efficiently, ability to multi task under pressure is integral, a positive attitude

is a must, and being able to stay calm under stressful situations is key

- Have a keen eye for detail, and hold him/her self to the highest standards for, professionalism, quality, food

safety, and customer experience

Job Description/Duties:

- Reports to and works directly under the General Manager

- Prioritizes and immediately address both customer and staff safety issues/concerns

- Manages and positively motivates both FOH and BOH effectively

- Able to open/close and carry out all management duties

- Trains new and existing staff members, enforces house rules, abides by all food safety guidelines

- Praises and discipline staff accordingly, documents any and all incidents

- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with our customers

- Conduct and assist in daily ordering/monthly inventory

- Follow through and check to insure all staff are completing there assigned check lists appropriately prior to

clocking out

- Responsible for balancing cash drawer, tip disbursement, time card tracking and other related office duties

such as, e-mails, TMS updates, payroll documentation, filing, job posting, interviewing new applicants,

submitting HR paperwork, documenting abnormal incidents, etc.

- Competent in the use of standard office equipment (ex. Computer/Scanner/Fax Machine)

- At times required to run errands for banking, supplies, equipment, and shopping (Costco/Sams Club,

Restaurant Supply Store, etc.)

- Attend weekly management meetings and actively participates in any tasks/projects assigned by the General

Manager or Principal Owners

- Must have a valid driver's licenses and reliable transportation

- Must be on time for scheduled shifts and be an example for the rest of the staff

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 lbs., unassisted

This is a difficult, challenging, but very rewarding position; however it is not suited for everyone. We would also prefer to find someone who is looking for continued advancement within the company and who is trainable for a future General Manager position.
