53 By the Sea is now accepting resumes for the Japanese-speaking Banquet Captain position we have open. We are looking for an organized individual who is able to read, write, and speak English and Japanese at an advanced level. This person will become the liaison and primary contact between the bridal couple and staff on the day of the reception. Our wedding operations are open 7-days a week. The full time position is expected to be available to work during weekends and available for any and all shifts. The part time position may have restricted availability. During the slower periods, the banquet captain will help work the host person position in the restaurant and assist with Japanese emails.
Primary Responsibilities for our banquet captains are (but not limited to):
Ensure that all requests from the bride and groom are taken care of.
MC the reception to let the guests know what is happening next in the program.
Ensure that the party timeline is followed correctly.
Serve bridal couple and guests properly meeting standards.
Prepare the banquet room as requested by the guests.
