53 By the Sea is now accepting resumes for full time and part time Pastry Line Cook positions we have open. We are looking for someone who has previous working experience as a pastry cook. This person will need to be able to prepare different pastries, desserts, and cakes for the daily operation of the restaurant and banquet facilities. Our restaurant is a 7-day operation. Full time cooks are expected to be available during weekends and available for all shifts (morning, mid, and/or swing).
Primary Responsibilities for our pastry line cooks are (but not limited to):
Create and prepare desserts in accordance with the existing menu
Assemble, ice, and decorate wedding cakes.
Keeping your work area organized and clean while working.
Assist in the kitchen, where needed.
Ensure desserts comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Culinary school certificate or degree with emphasis on pastry preferred but not required
1-2 years experience in fast-paced kitchen
Excellent communications skills
