Server Job Profile
Description: A server at Star Noodle is responsible for sharing the Star Experience with each of our guests. Their knowledge and pride in our product perpetuates the experience and is critical to maintaining the vision at Star Noodle.
The ideal candidate for this position:
Has 2 years experience working in customer service and/or the food service industry
Can work a flexible schedule including:
Day Shifts from 10am 4:30+pm
Evening Shifts from 3:45pm 10+pm
Weekend Shifts
Holiday Shifts
Has a reputation for giving great service to guests and coworkers
Is enthusiastic about sharing our exceptional service standards with our guests
Can maintain a pleasant smile and demeanor throughout the shift
Has a proven sales record
Can handle multiple tasks at one time
Is self motivated, especially under pressure
Is able to maintain "on stage" presence throughout shift
Is able to learn and retain new flavors/ingredients
Communicates Enthusiasm in person and over the phone
Has good problem solving skills
Is able to pass and practice the Maui County Department of Liquor Test
Is able to pass and practice the TiPS training course

Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Can communicate effectively to both customers and co-workers during busy periods
Accurately describes menu items and daily specials in an appealing way
Suggests items to create a positive experience for guests regardless of sales price
Participates in food delivery to guests as available
Communicates to supervisors when help is needed to maintain customer service
Is knowledgeable of the menu and able to answer guests questions
Pre-busses tables for faster clearing/cleaning
Clears and Cleans tables own section as a priority with assistance from others as available
Positively responds to requests for assistance from co-workers and guests
Remains within viewing of the guests throughout shift
Is able to prioritize hot food delivery over all else
Takes initiative to help in any area of the restaurant when slow
