Job Title: Service Center Manager

Department: Food Service Coffee Department

Reports To: Food Service Director of Sales

Wage & Hour Status: Exempt

POSITION PURPOSE:

Oversees and manages the planning, personnel oversight, training, execution and financial functions of the Equipment Service Center. works under the direction of the Food Service Director of Sales and manages the daily operation of the Service Center. Other functions of the Service Center include equipment management and maintenance, equipment purchasing, dispatch, shop technical work, field technical work, and equipment installation. Responsible for hiring, training and direction of statewide equipment technicians and staff. This will require training and work with various equipment manufacturers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Manage, hire, and train key personnel in areas of service management and equipment knowledge

Orders machinery and parts at the highest quality with the lowest cost

Minimizes the amount of downtime for customers in service interruption while maintaining record of activities

Conducts installations timely and efficiently

Tracks and maintains all physical equipment and warehouses with regards to related equipment, accessories, and parts

Maintains reference system so we have access to user guides along with warranties for machines

Schedules and conducts all necessary preventive maintenance programs for customers

Must familiarize him/herself with HIE’s policies and assume responsibility for the implementation of corporation directives

Performs other duties as required

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE

High School diploma required. Experience in technical services, helpful but not required. Electrical, electronics and mechanical education preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the trade community. Ability to write clear and concise business communications for internal and external audiences. Ability to prepare, present and defend ideas orally or in writing to management, customers and support groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with basic mathematics concepts as applied in practical business applications. Ability to analyze and interpret data, and identify problems and inconsistencies. Ability to understand and relate to budgets and sales reports.

MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be organized, analytical and comfortable with numbers. Must be able to think conceptually and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be people oriented and sensitive to behavioral nuances and different kinds of personalities. Must be able to work with and relate to people with differing levels of work experience and education. Must be able to think critically, handle emotional stress and think on one’s feet.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret broad cross sections of data and draw conclusions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Driver’s license, unless able to get around to satisfy job position, and ability to be insured.

COMPUTER AND OTHER ABILITIES

Computer and calculator literate are required.
