Description:
Billing assistant is needed for an immediate part-time position in a specialty-specific medical office. Basic computer skills and at least 2 years of billing experience with knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 codes is required. Position involves filing primary and secondary claims (coordination of benefits), posting charges and payments, following-up pending (aging) and denied claims, and collecting co-pays (accounts receivable). The majority of claims are filed through an electronic practice management system which is connected directly with an electronic medical record system. Salary rates are negotiable and based on applicant's experience. Office building has ample parking.
