Business Development – Metal Roofing Estimator at Island Metals
Do you have experience in estimating roofing or construction projects? We are looking for an independent contractor to develop leads and sales for metal roofing projects. Island Metals is a metal roofing supply company, providing custom made to order roofing. You will have full flexibility to meet with roofing contractors, builders, and homeowners to generate new estimates and win bids. You will ensure the manufacturing shop on Kauai fulfills the orders and delivers to the customers. We don’t install roofing, instead we are dedicated to selling, manufacturing, and supplying companies, governments, and directly to homeowners for them to install.
This can be a rewarding career for the right person, with plenty of opportunity with unlimited sales commission potential. We have just started selling on Oahu, since for 7+ years we have been focused on just Kauai. We have seen tremendous upside to sales in Oahu as we have better pricing (saving customers hundred and in some cases thousands of dollars on a single project), and saving customer time (our competitors sometimes have 6+ weeks lead time, when we can in most cases make the materials, ship, and get to the job site in 1 week). So, with these huge competitive advantages, this position is ripe for huge success!
Job Responsibilities
Business development by proactively engaging in sales with roofing contractors, home builders, commercial construction companies, and homeowners
Preparing and submitting bids
Processing submittals, contracts, and change orders
Performing Take-Offs and interpreting plans
Perform Project Management of candidate’s successful bids

You have full independence to contact and make sales with anyone on Oahu with the sales support and fulfillment by Island Metals
Commission for sales up to 5% plus product bonuses!
Income potential is unlimited; expecting this position to get paid $4k - $8k per month and growing as you build repeat business
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
Prior roofing estimating experience ideal, however relevant construction estimating experience is acceptable
Must be able to read, interpret and quantify construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of Quickbooks (for estimate and invoicing) or ability to quickly learn how to operate
Strong written and verbal communication skills
